Lucky Luciano's Endgame PVP Rogue Build

Lucky Luciano's Endgame PVP Rogue Build

Lucky Luciano's Endgame PVP Rogue Build

PVP can be a totally different ballgame in Diablo IV. With stats such as vulnerable damage becoming far less valuable and other abilities such as concealment, and unstoppable becoming far more valuable, it makes sense that true PVP champions need a customized build to put them on top. Well luckily Lucky Luciano is back again with another Rogue build. This time it’s a full physical damage high burst and highly mobile rogue with everything a PVP champion would want to have.

CHECK OUT THE BUILD HERE

The Basics

  1. Defense: The primary focus here is maximizing unstoppability
    1. Aspect of Stolen Vigor (slotted on Amulet for the 50% bonus): Very important for the build. This aspect grants healing for each stack of the momentum key passive. Super powerful in PVP since we are able to keep the momentum passive stacked consistently and there aren’t many other consistent forms of sustain when in the PVP zone.
    2. Agile Passive: Grants increased dodge chance after using a cooldown.
    3. Mending Obscurity Passive: Grants Healing when stealthed
    4. Concealment: Lucky puts max points into this ability allowing him to stay in stealth as much as possible. The most important benefit here is that you’re able to have high up time on unstoppable. Lucky specs into countering concealment for the guaranteed crit when concealment is broken.
    5. Shadow Clone: Taken for the unstoppable and not so much the damage.
    6. Escape Artists Aspect: Upon taking damage from surrounding enemies you drop a smoke grenade and dodge the next 2-7 attacks within 10 seconds (45 second cooldown). This aspect is a great defensive tool especially given the bursty nature of rogue combos. Jump in, pump damage while it’s active, then jump out if you can.
    7. Protecting Aspect: Surprisingly this aspect works in PVP and is an awesome defensive tool. When hit while not healthy a magic bubble is summoned around you lasting 3-5 seconds. When standing in the bubble you are immune (90 second cooldown).
    8. Eluding Aspect: Becoming injured while crowd controlled grants Unstoppable for 4 seconds (40-20 second cooldown).
    9. Aspect of Disobedience: The go to aspect for armor, this aspect increases your armor by a percent when dealing damage.
    10. Malignant Heart Prudent: Grants immunity for 2-4 seconds after losing more than 20% life in a single hit (70 second cooldown).
    11. Malignant Heart Revenge: A percentage of incoming damage is suppressed, when using a Subterfuge skill all suppressed damage erupts and is amplified by 250% dealing damage around you. This heart is a bit better for its defensive benefit as the eruption damage is capped.
  2. Damage and Crowd Control
    1. Twisting Blades: Our primary core skill for damage Lucky specs into Improved Twisting Blades for the daze.
      1. Aspect of Encircling Blades: This is the go-to aspect when running Twisting Blades. When the blades return, they orbit around you dealing additional damage.
    2. Condemnation Unique Dagger: Since Lucky runs combo points this dagger is an awesome addition, increasing damage when spending 3 combo points and using a core skill. Basic skills also have a chance to generate 3 combo points.
    3. Malignant Heart the Barber: Basically the go to heart this season. The Barber allows you to fill a target with damage after critically striking them, then after a few seconds they explode for increased damage to themselves and the enemies around them. Super powerful in general no matter the situation.
    4. Edgemaster Aspect: Given the playstyle of PVP, dumping damage then stepping back and waiting to full combo again, Edgemasters provides a nice bonus to your damage.
      1. Starlight Aspect: Adds to the synergy, when combined with Aspect of Stolen Vigor, you get a very nice bonus to energy regen. This aspect grants 20-40 primary resource for every 25% max life that you heal.
    5. Vulnerable Damage: Vulnerable damage is capped in PVP at 20%. This means that a number of damage-oriented things on PVE rogue builds must be changed.
    6. Malice Passive: Does not work so we do not put points into it.
    7. Exploit Passive: Also does not work in PVP so we do not put points into it
    8. Accelerating Aspect (put on crossbow for the bonus): This aspect grants an attack speed steroid after landing a critical strike. Overall, this provides massive damage across the build.
    9. Specialization Combo Points: A great choice here for additional damage when using your full combo in PVP.
  3. Mobility
    1. Disciplined Shadow Step: A great mobility tool and an awesome gap closer as well as slightly defensive given the fact that it makes you unstoppable. Lucky specs into Disciplined Shadow Step for the reduced cooldown when using the ability on new targets.
      1. Ravagers Aspect: Taken for the additional Shadow Step charge.
    2. Dash: Another powerful mobility tool Lucky specs into Methodical Dash for the cooldown reduction allowing additional uptime when landing dash damage on crowd-controlled enemies.

Why It Works In PVP

First Lucky steers away from poison. While poison damage is super strong in PVE it suffers in PVP because you need to wait for it to tick down, giving the enemy player a chance to turn the tide. Instead, this build takes advantage of high-burst physical damage to one-shot targets before they even know what happened. Lucky also finds every way to increase opportunities to become unstoppable, allowing him to shake off enemy cc while he applies his own. Being able to keep yourself unstoppable while fighting other players is a must and more than a second of sustained CC means you’re dead meat. Overall, this build features a high burst hit-and-run playstyle perfect for crushing the fields of hatred. Check out Lucky’s channel HERE for more awesome Diablo IV rogue content!
