Barbarians - the monument of savagery and brutality. Since their inception into the Diablo franchise, Barbarians have been the quick pick for anyone who loved an “in your face” crashin’ thrashin’ melee character. They have been known to focus on multiple weapons, both two handed, and one handed, to dismantle their foes. With builds like Whirlwind, Double Swing, Lunging Strike, Upheaval, Death Blow, and many other ability focused builds, it is important to know what stats are most important and what they offer to the Barbarian class.

Barbarians are affected by stat weights as follows:

• Strength: 1 Armor per Point
• Intelligence: +0.05% All Resistance per Point
• Willpower: +0.1% Healing Received/ +0.25% Overpower Damage per Point
• Dexterity: +0.025% Dodge Chance per Point

Barbarian Specific Stat Weights:

• Strength: x0.1% Skill Damage per Point
• Willpower: x0.1% Resource Generation per Point
• Dexterity: x0.2% Critical Strike Chance per Point

Knowing this information, the three most important stats for Barbarian will be Strength, Willpower, and Dexterity. This will also depend on what type of build you are running. Some builds like Death Blow will want to stack Dexterity and Strength for those juicy high damage crits. Other builds such as a bleed focused build will want to focus more on stacking Strength and Willpower to make their targets suffer the largest amount of bleed damage possible.

Barbarian builds can transform quickly if you are prioritizing the right stat weights. There are also implicit or tertiary stats on weapons and armor that can further help optimize these benefits, but that is based on RNG luck when it comes to the item rolling with + to skills or % damage to crowd controlled enemies.
