Utility
While offensive and defensive stats provide measurable increases to your attack and defense they are not the only stats in the game. There are tons of utility stats that can be increased to grant your character impressive bonuses.
Lucky Hit Chance
A Lucky Hit can apply a number of on-hit effects and can trigger on any attack. These special effects can come from skills, passives, or items. These special effects can be class specific such as the Rogue’s Lucky Hit proc triggering an arrow storm from the Arrow Storm legendary aspect, to general gear affixes like a % chance to knockback an enemy when a Lucky Hit is triggered.
Each Lucky Hit has a base proc chance when tied to a skill, and a base proc chance when tied to an item. This chance can be further increased across all Lucky Hit effects by increasing your net Lucky Hit Chance. This net increase is a stat that can roll on Rings, Gloves, and Wands.
Cooldown Reduction
Very simple and similarly found in other games cooldown reduction decreases the cooldowns of your respective skills. The higher your cooldown reduction the faster you can cast devastating abilities. You can get cooldown reduction on Helmets, Amulets, and Focus/Shield/Totem. Cooldown reduction stacks multiplicatively from different sources.
Resource Cost Reduction
Reduces the cost to cast resource-consuming abilities. This stat will be renamed depending on your class, so for barbarians, it will be called “Fury Cost Reduction.
Skill Ranks
Items can roll with a point increase to skills. This will save you valuable skill points and allow you to really maximize your build. So keep a lookout for items that increase points in the skills you want.
Movement Speed
A percentage increase to movement speed can be found as an affix on items. However, it is worth noting that your net increase to movement speed cannot exceed +25%. The only exception is through Legendary Aspects and abilities that buff movement speed, but even with these there is still a cap at +200%.
Shrine Buff
This unique stat can be found on boots and will increase the duration of shrine buffs.
Control Impaired Duration Reduction
A chest armor stat that reduces the duration of all crowd control effects applied to your character.
Unique Implicit Stats
These can be found on high level legendary Boots and Pants. These stats are listed separately and can include:
Boots improve the Evade Skill
- Evade grants 40% movements speed briefly
- +1 Max Evade Charge
- Attacks Reduce Evade’s Cooldown by 1 Second
Pants Buff the Healing Vile
- Your Potion Also Restores 30% Resource
- Your Potion Grants 30% Movement Speed
- Your Potion Also Grants 30% Maximum Life as Barrier

Crowd Control Duration Buff
This stat increases the duration of crowd control effects on all enemies including Slow, Daze, Chill, Stun, Freeze, Imobilize, Taunt, and Knock Down. It can roll on Amulets, Off-Hand Items, and Helmets
Thorns
This offensive stat deals damage to enemies when they hit you. This damage is increased by your primary core stat. Thorns can roll on Pants, Amulets, Shields, and Chest Armor. Thorns can also be boosted by Skills and Passives.
