Tornado Druid Leveling Guide (1-50)

Tornado Druid Leveling Guide (1-50)
Overview
- Tornado is going to be our core skill in this build. The pathing for Tornado can be a bit inconsistent, but the Stormchaser’s Aspect will make Tornado seek targets and makes this skill much easier and more efficient to use. Some people may not want to use Tornado to level until they find this aspect, but it is still a great skill to use early on.
- This build is going to utilize all three companions. These companions are going to carry us through the leveling process. They grant us extra crit chance, fortify, and vulnerability. They also do quite a bit of damage. Pairing this with Shepherd’s Aspect will give our Tornado a large damage increase as well.
- Earthen Bulwark is going to be a great defensive tool for us (and for every Druid build).

Spirit Boons:

- In the Deer tree, Wariness gives us 10% reduced damage from Elites and is an incredible option to add some tankiness to the build.
- In the Eagle tree, we are taking Scythe Talons for some extra Critical Strike Chance. From our Poison Creeper and Ravens, we will actually have some consistently high Critical Strike Chance.
- In the Wolf tree, we are tacking Pack Leader which gives Critical Strikes a chance to reset our Companion Skills cooldowns. Since we are running three companions and have high Critical Strike Chance, this will carry us through the leveling process. We will also take Energize since it just gives us a chance to generate more spirit.
- In the Snake tree, we will be taking Overload. Since we aren’t using an Earth skill, Shapeshifting skill, or an Ultimate, this is our only choice. It is not a terrible boon and will give us some extra damage which we can never complain about.|
Leveling Aspects (Codex of Power)
These aspects can be grabbed throughout your leveling process and should be thrown on Jewelry slots when leveling.
Offensive:
- The next aspect we want to grab ASAP is the Shepherd’s Aspect. This can be found in the Bloodsoaked Crag dungeon in Dry Steppes. Since we are running all three companions, this will provide a substantial damage increase to Tornado. This should be placed in a ring.

- Edgemaster’s Aspect can be found in the Oldstones dungeon in Scosglen. Since we have pretty decent Spirit economy, especially when paired with the Aspect of the Umbral, we get a nice damage increase when at high Spirit. This should be placed in our Amulet.

Resource:
- The only resource aspect we will be using is the Aspect of the Umbral which can be found in the Champion’s Demise dungeon in the Dry Steppes. This will restore Spirit whenever we Crowd Control an enemy. We will benefit from this every time Tornado slows an enemy or whenever we use our Poison Creeper active. This should be placed in a Ring.

Other Useful Aspects for the Codex
Defensive:
- Aspect of Disobedience is another fantastic aspect. This is an important one to grab since it is utilized by many builds in the game. This can be found in the Halls of the Damned in Kehjistan. Whenever you deal damage, you gain a stacking buff that increases your armor, ranging from .25-.5% per stack.

- One aspect that we can get in the Dark Ravine in Dry Steppes is the Aspect of Might. This aspect grants us 20% Damage Reduction when using a basic skill. Since we are going to be using our basic skill a lot to benefit from the Resonance passive and the Aspect of Natural Balance, we should have pretty consistent uptime on this buff.

Mobility:
- There are two mobility options for this build. I recommend the Ghostwalker Aspect which grants us a large Movement Speed buff when we go unstoppable (we gain unstoppable from Earthen Bulwark) and allows us to move freely through enemies. This can be found in the Broken Bulwark dungeon in Scosglen.

- The other option is the Wind Striker aspect which can be found in the Shivta Ruins dungeon in Kehjistan. Since we have high Critical Strike Chance, we can benefit off of the movement speed buff from this aspect quite often.

Other Helpful Aspects
These aspects could help us when leveling. You can equip these if they are on an item better than what you currently have equipped, but when you are ready to replace it, make sure to extract these powers since they will be useful later on in the game.
Offensive:
- One of the more important aspects for this build is Stormchaser’s Aspect. This aspect causes Tornado to seek enemies and makes it much more consistent. Finding this early on will provide a much easier leveling experience. If you find this aspect, we highly recommend using this build for leveling.

- Aspect of the Expectant is another great damage increase for us and can be picked up in the Underroot dungeon in Scosglen. Since we are going to be weaving Earth Spike and Tornado to benefit from the Resonance passive, this gives us extra damage to our Core Skill when we attack enemies with our Basic Skills.

- Another RNG option you can use if you find it is called the Aspect of Natural Balance. Since we are alternating between Storm and Earth skills, we can benefit off of the increased Critical Strike Chance from this aspect.

- Another RNG option is the Accelerating Aspect. Since we have high Critical Strike Chance, we can benefit from the attack speed bonus this aspect grants us.

Defensive:
- Earthguard Aspect is a great defensive option for Tornado Druid. Unfortunately, this is an RNG drop, but if you find it, this will provide you with some much needed additional tankiness. This aspect will increase the amount of Barrier we get from our Earthen Bulwark based on the amount of Crowd Controlled enemies nearby. Since Tornado slows, any enemy slowed by Tornado will count towards this bonus. Also, our active on Poison Creeper is a very large AoE Immobilize which will also add value to this aspect.

Alternative Leveling Guides
- If you feel like Tornado is too slow, pick up the Stormclaw’s Aspect in Anica’s Claim in Fractured Peaks. You can respec into Shred and the leveling process may be a bit quicker.

- Pulverize is a great leveling option granted you have the proper legendaries. If your RNG has been terrible and you feel weak, the Aspect of the Ursine Horror cna be found in Belfry Zakara in Hawezar. You can pair this with Aspect of Retaliation from the Seaside Descent in Dry Steppes, the Crashstone aspect from the Stockades in Scoslen, and the Aspect of the Rampaging Werebeast in the Endless Gates in Hawezar. This could take some time to put together, but with all of these you’re on the road to a quite powerful build.
